Standard – $50
Delivered inside your home, any number of stairs. Best for small, lightweight items.
Room of Choice – $150
A 2-person team places your items in the room of your choice, any number of stairs. Items remain boxed.
White Glove – $180
A 2-person team places your items in the room of your choice, unpacks, assembles, and removes all packaging. Any number of stairs.
We recommend Room of Choice or White Glove for heavy or bulky pieces.
All furniture arrives assembled, except desks and small side tables, which need light assembly to prevent damage in transit (included with White Glove).
Delivery Timeframes
- In stock: Ships within 1–3 business days, then 5–12 business days in transit. Total: 6–15 business days.
- Pre-order: Items not yet in our Houston warehouse are sold as pre-orders. The estimated dispatch month is shown on each product page. If we can't dispatch by that date, we'll contact you.
Mixed orders: Orders containing pre-order items ship together once everything is in stock. We strongly recommend having all items delivered together. If you need in-stock items sooner, please contact us.
On Delivery Day
- You'll receive a tracking link once your order ships.
- Our delivery partner will confirm your delivery day and call about 30 minutes before arrival.
- A signature is required. You or an adult representative must be present.
- If no one is available, a redelivery fee charged by our delivery partner applies. Redelivery is booked once this fee is paid.
Damage
Please inspect your furniture on arrival. Report any transit damage within 48 hours, with photos, to support@larkwoodfurniture.com. For White Glove deliveries, please inspect your items before signing.

This product is designed for indoor use.
We do not recommend using this outdoors. However, if you choose to, it is recommended that you keep the product under cover and not exposed.

Do not position under direct heat or sunlight.
Do not allow any liquid to be left on any surface for prolonged periods of time. If this occurs, wipe with down the surface with a clean wet cloth.
We do not recommend painting, sanding or varnishing.

CARING FOR YOUR WOODEN FURNITURE
Wood is a natural material.
During warm, humid weather wood can expand.
During dry weather wood contracts. These seasonal variations are normal characteristics of wood.
Do not position in front of radiator, direct sunlight,
avoid direct heat, moist environments and not for outdoor use.
Do not use abrasive cleaners. Wipe wood with a damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth. Any spills should be removed immediately. Take care when moving the furniture.
To maintain the colour and quality of the wood used for indoor only.
MINDI WOOD
Mindi is a hardwood timber, coarse in texture and their colour varies from light to dark brown. Natural variations may occur adding a charm to each piece.
MAHOGANY WOOD
Mahogany is a hardwood timber, coarse in texture and their reddish-brown colour.
TEAK WOOD
Teak is a hardwood timber, coarse in texture and their colour varies from golden to brown colour.
Teak wood is typically used in our Outdoor Collection for more intricate joinery in our Indoor Furniture Colleciton.
Leather & Vegan Leather:
Avoid sharp objects and excessive force to prevent scratches and tears.
Keep it out of direct sun to avoid fading.
Keep the design distanced from fireplaces and heating vents. High temperature and humidity can dry leather out.
We suggest you steer clear of wax, polish, soaps and oil leather cleaners. They can affect the finish or discolour the leather. For small spots and spills use a dampened, soft cloth and let it air dry. For oil, butter, or grease spills use a clean, dry using cloth. Do not use water. The spot should naturally sink into the leather and fade away.
Apply a leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and prevent drying out. For scratches rub leather conditioner with your finger or a soft cloth.
For thorough cleaning, we suggest taking this piece to a leather specialist only.
Fabric:
The fabric has been treated for soil and stain resistance. If the fabric gets dirty, apply 10-20ml of detergent solution on top of the spot; use a soft bristle brush to clean the fabric. Softly clean with a clean cloth and cold water. Allow the fabric to air dry.
Water Hyacinth (Rope Weave) :
The French Modernist Armchair - Natural is made from Water Hyacinth rope, a natural unprocessed product. Keep it clean by using normal white vinegar from your local supermarket, spray in low quantities directly into the weaving, and use a soft toothbrush to clean it. Dab dry with a clean towel and allow to completely air dry before using. Avoid using bleach.
Keep this material away from high-humidity areas for prolonged periods of time.

Every Larkwood piece is covered by our Makers Guarantee, a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a covered defect appears, we'll repair it in your home, send a replacement part, or offer a partial or full refund. Covers residential use by the original purchaser. Items must be in the same condition they were delivered in and are collected by our carrier. White glove fees and Final Sale items are non-refundable. Damaged or defective items are covered in full, with no fees.

How to return an item
- Email support@larkwoodfurniture.com.au within 7 days of delivery with your order number, the reason for the return and photos of the item.
- We'll confirm your return and send you the return freight cost.
- Once you accept, our carrier collects the item, records its condition and packs it at pickup.
- After inspection at our Houston warehouse, we refund the product price, less the costs above.

Everything you need to know about the French Modernist Armchair
How do I clean and maintain the armchair?
The armchair is made of Water Hyacinth and Mindi Wood. The water hyacinth can be cleaned using a mixture of water and white vinegar. Mix them in a spray bottle and apply directly to the weaving of the chair. We recommend using a toothbrush instead of a cloth to get any dirt or dust off the water hyacinth.
The wood is already sealed and treated for mold by us, so all you have to use is a dry cloth to remove any dust, we do not recommend using any chemicals like cleaning products directly to the wood, this may damage the finish. Also, do not use any oils or vanish on the wood.
What happens if the armchair breaks?
The armchair has been tested for years, and it can hold up to 330 lb at a time.
So your armchair will only come into stress when you put over 330 lb on it. Anything that weighs less than 330 lb is safe and your armchair will not break.
Do I have to assemble the chair, and what's the delivery process?
The armchair will arrive at your home assembled and ready to use. Depending on where you live, you will receive the armchair boxed up, or in a single faced carboard, either way the armchair is delivered safely to you.
Our couriers travel to each state every 2-3 weeks, so they will contact you a day prior to your delivery to organise the delivery date and time that suits you.
We are flexible with delivery dates and times when we can!
Can I use the chair under a veranda/outdoors?
We highly recommend the use of the armchair indoors, this is because of the effect the humidity may cause to the armchair's materials.
If the armchair is used once in a while under a veranda, it will be okay.
It is best to keep it in a dry place so your armchair lasts you for years!

I first saw these beautiful and unique chairs online when I was searching for new furniture after my home was flood damaged. I fell in love with them. The EOFY sale was enough to make me purchase and I couldn’t be happier. The service and delivery were fantastic and I adore these chairs. We are still waiting for our house to be returned to pre flood state but these chairs are gorgeous and comfortable. Also bought the Tennessee tables to complement the chairs. These chairs are beautiful. The water hyacinth weave is a bit uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. My biggest problem is the Hunter Express delivery. The tracking didn't initially work, then i was given a span of 4 days for delivery. I asked Larkwood if I would get a more precise ETA and i was assured i would as well as a text on delivery day. None of this happened. The chairs came 2 days outside of the promised delivery dates. I had to be insistent with the driver to carry them up 10 steps. He refused to unbox them for me so it was cumbersome and the boxes are too big to transport to the recycling centre. Underwhelming for the $2600 i paid.
